Jacqueline Fernandez grew up in Bahrain, Manama. She is Sri Lankan and comes from a diverse ethnic background. Her father Elroy is a Sri Lankan (Catholic Sinhalese) and her mother, Kim is Malaysian. Jacqueline is the youngest of two siblings and has one older brother. Her parents relocated to Bahrain in 1980s due to the Lankan civil unrest and hence her birth and education were in Bahrain. In Australia she was enrolled in Media and Communications at University of Sydney following her graduation from Bahrain. Having a passion for cultures and languages she also took part in the Berlitz school of languages which is where she began to learn Spanish and improved her French as well as Arabic. The crown was awarded to Miss Sri Lanka 2006 for Miss Universe 2006 on March 6th, 2006 and also participated in Miss Universe 2006. The TV show she appeared on was founded after winning the Miss Sri Lanka title. The show she hosts, Lanka Business Report, is about business in Sri Lanka. Padukone (the child of badminton players Prakash Padukone) was born and raised in Bangalore. In her teens, she played in national level badminton tournaments. She later resigned from the sport and became an artist. Padukone is a native of Mangalore, Indian. Her native language Konkani is where she comes from. Padukone is located in the Kundapura Taluk of Karnataka's Udupi District. His father, Prakash Padukone, is a retired badminton player of international repute, and her mother is a travel consultant.
