Jacqueline Fernandez hails from Manama in Bahrain. She was raised within an ethnically diverse family. Jacqueline's father Elroy is from Sri Lanka (Catholic Sinhalese) and her mother Kim, a Malaysian. Jacqueline is the oldest of two brothers as well as a younger sister. Her parents moved to Bahrain in the late 1980s as a result of the Lankan civil unrest and hence her birth and education were in Bahrain. After finishing high school in Bahrain she was awarded an Scholarship to the University of Sydney to pursue a Media and Communications Degree in Sydney, Australia. As a lover of all the world of languages and cultures, she joined the Berlitz school of languages where she learned to speak Spanish and improved her French and Arabic. Miss Sri Lanka 2006 competed in the Miss Universe 2006 and Miss Universe 2006 as well as Miss Universe 2006 when she took home the title in 2006. In 2006, she was awarded her the Miss Sri Lanka title. After that, she went into television to host the show about Sri Lankan companies named Lanka Business Report. Padukone is the daughter of badminton star Prakash Padukone. She was brought up in Bangalore and born in Copenhagen. As a teenager she competed in national championships of badminton at both the regional and international and international levels. But, she resigned from the sport in order to become a fashion designer. Padukone was born in Mangalore in India. Her native language Konkani is her mother tongue. Padukone is a village within the Kundapura Taluk of Karnataka's Udupi District. Her father, Prakash Padukone, is a retired badminton player of global repute. Her mother works as a travel agent.
